Guidelines for non UK customers are the same as for UK customers with the following exceptions:
We will only ship eggs, pupae or cocoons to countries outside of the UK. It is NOT safe to send larvae. ALL livestock orders to these destinations are sent at the customer's own risk.
Livestock (eggs, pupae / cocoons only) can only be shipped to the USA if the recipient can demonstrate that they hold the necessary import permits.
All customers are advised to order livestock at least one month before its stated availability date, for the following reasons:
Once pre-orders are fulfilled there may not be enough stock left for those ordering at the last minute.
Livestock can grow very quickly: species, for example, that are available at the beginning of a given month, may be too large to send safely at the end of said month.
The largest cocoons from any new consignment are always shipped first.
'In house' and 'third party breeder' livestock
Many of the eggs and larvae supplied by HEB are from in house pairings achieved from our own breeding pupae. At times however we will rely on 'third party' breeders for difficult or hard to obtain species.
The supply of those species marked as 'third party' stock is inevitably, less predictable. Customers are advised to order well in advance of availability dates.
Livestock marked 'third party breeder' may take a few days later to arrive than livestock from in house pairings.
In the event that livestock from a third party breeder or indeed from our own pairings is not available, we will make an immediate refund, unless otherwise instructed.
Returns Policies
HEB will replace any stock that is diseased or dead on arrival. (UK only). We will also replace any eggs that are found to be infertile, provided that they are sent back to us as proof in the original packaging
We are NOT responsible for livestock in your care or the outcomes of your rearing.
Delivery and holiday dates
Heart of England Butterflies will work around any holidays that customers may have, but it is YOUR responsibility to keep us fully up to date in relation to your plans.
