Available during July and August. Another fantastic species that must be tried! It has been suggested that the larvae of this North American species will take Privet but we have found that success is more likely to be achieved on Sumach, Sweet Gum and Walnut, on which our larvae thrive. Regalis is a fascinating species (11-14cms.) with a truly remarkable caterpillar (see picture opposite). Fully grown the caterpillars measure 10 cm's and are magnificent and fearsome looking creatures. Very highly recommended for the moderately experienced breeder looking for something spectacular.
