Sent when ready from September (2012). The spurge hawk moth is very similar to the bedstraw hawk in appearance, but can be easily distinguished by its pink underside. Pairing is easier than for galli and eggs are laid in good quantities if the moths are kept fed on nectar and honey. The striking black and red horned larvae take readily to most spurges e.g. cypress, wood and sun spurges, but are not always as easy as galli to rear.
