Euryalus is a lesser known and infrequently offered member of the Hylaphora genus and a rare treat for the dedicated breeder. Whilst not as commonly bred as its cousin the Robin Moth; it is a beautiful, rich red silk moth with a fascinating larval stage. Moths tend to emerge in June in the UK and the larvae can be fed on Ceanothus, or can be tried on Sallow and/ or various members of the Willow family. In its native habitat, euraylus takes a wide variety of trees and experimentation may yield surprising results. Cocoons are available now in limited quantities.
